Shaun Baer is currently busy with a number of film projects. In addition to Dudes, he has written, produced, and starred in his own web series Humane Resources with Steppenwolf ensemble member Austin Pendleton. Baer also plays the title character “Scotty” in a trilogy of short films (Scotty Works Out, Scotty and Josh Get Enlightened, Another Party with Scotty), the latter shooting later this year. Scotty and Josh has been seen in over six festivals so far, including the My True Colors Film Festival in New York City.

On stage, Baer most recently played “Fritz” in a non-ballet re-imagining of The Nutcracker with The House Theatre of Chicago. Other favorite roles include the title role in Pippin (BoHo Theatre), Bob in Beau Jest (Oil Lamp Theatre), and Homer in Floyd Collins with (Theater Latte Da). In Chicago, he has worked with several companies including Court Theatre (The Dead), Porchlight Musical Theatre (Sunday in the Park With George), and Babes with Blades Theatre Company (The Double).

Baer hails from Oak Park, Illinois and is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University School of Theatre Arts. After years of performing across America, including Las Vegas, Minneapolis, and Lincoln, New Hampshire, he moved back to Chicago and continued pursuing work on stage and screen.
